comprehensive mental health
Dr. Brown specializes in comprehensive mental health treatment. She sees patients with various diagnoses including: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD.
She is licensed to practice in Georgia and Florida. Patients must be present in one of these states for virtual appointments.
medication management
Each person is different, with a unique body, different symptoms, and specific needs. As part of your comprehensive treatment plan, we might use medications to help manage symptoms, improve daily function, and enhance other therapies. We'll work together to find the right medication regimen. This starts with a thorough evaluation, discussing your goals and needs, deciding on an initial medication plan, and adjusting it as needed during treatment.
psychotherapy
If you have big problems on your mind, past hurts to deal with, or just want to understand yourself better, therapy can provide you with the support and guidance needed to navigate through life's challenges, ultimately helping you feel better and find your way to a healthier, happier state of mind.
reproductive PSYCHIATRY & Consultations
I work closely with women who are pregnant, postpartum, or planning a pregnancy.
I often treat patients who are pregnant or have recently given birth and are suffering from new symptoms or have a recurrence of psychiatric illness. Many individuals seek professional assistance for a variety of reproductive health challenges, such as fertility issues, the emotional and physical strain of undergoing fertility treatments, and the heartache of pregnancy or newborn loss. These difficulties can significantly impact individuals and their loved ones, often necessitating specialized medical care and support.
If you already have a trusted mental health provider, but they are not familiar with psychiatric medications in pregnancy, I can do a one-time evaluation of your current treatment plan, make recommendations, and coordinate care with your current psychiatrist or prescriber.
